PCC chief vacates Govt accommodation

Excelsior Correspondent
Srinagar, Apr 14: Jammu Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) chief, Ghulam Ahmad Mir, today vacated Government accommodation allotted to him in Srinagar, a day before deadline given to him by the Estates Department.
Mir was allotted the Government hired accommodation in a private house at Friends Enclave near Airport Srinagar by the erstwhile Mufti Muhammad Sayeed-led Government on May 13, 2015.
However, he was asked to vacate the State accomodation by or before April 15, 2016 by the Estates Department and was served a notice in this regard.
“In view of this, Mir has vacated the accommodation and handed over the possession to the house owner today,” a Congress spokesman said here in a statement.
